From the deepest depth of the sea to the furthest reaches of outer space, Abyss aims to explore texture, light and the imagination. Inspiration has been drawn from the deep sea, light distortion and anemones to the cosmos, nebulas and stars. The visual imagery for Abyss has been created from exploration into fluid art, photography and manipulation of materials. The collection is both innovative and experimental whilst maintaining a sleek, precise look that aims to push the boundaries of printed textiles.
Here is some of my sketch book and loose leaf work done for Abyss. From this project I experimented with acrylic pouring, alcohol inks and other ways of creating texture using paint.
